My Realization in School and Motivation

Now I'm still in High School. So, of course, I'm still a student O(≧▽≦)O but I have Asian parents and if you're a child of Asian parents, you will be pressured into getting straight A's, become some lawyer or doctor and you may think that you have to do these things to survive. Oh HELL no.

Asian parents tend to convince their children that to live and achieve a happy life you need a very high-paying job and the best grades, but that's not true. You don't have to do what they want. Wait, hold on, okay. This is not an "I can rule my own life" moment if you're young xD but even at any age, you really can't rule your life. You can direct it into the path you want, but it will not happen just because you want it to happen. Sometimes you will get lost but it's effort and passion that will get you back on the right track. If there's a career you love, and you feel like it's something you want to stick with, go and do it. It's truly possible. My parents want me to really try becoming a lawyer, go to Yale or something, and I laugh. xD I literally lol at this because honestly, for me, it's not something I'd do. I am in love with the idea of going to Yale and becoming a lawyer, but I am not in love with the job and school itself and I don't think I ever will be. Not many people realize the difference but you will be a lot happier doing what you truly love.

This was just something I wanted to talk about because at my age we have to think about college and our futures. It's hard to decide what to do at this point but I hope this helped you narrow it down even just a bit. Be strong and sweet, my lovelies. ~Lemony~
